Our take on a “Tender” conundrum!!
Your dinghy is a workhorse, right? Always sitting outside in every kind of weather, beached, battered and stomped on yet all the while expected to be fully functional and ready at a moment’s notice to fetch and carry jerrycans, trash, stores, people, dive gear, fishing gear etc.
The D-PAL (acronym from Dinghy, Pontoon and Aluminium) range is our attempt to create a yacht tender/general runabout that can take all manner of abuse and keep on smiling.
There is of course no perfect design that fit’s every need, is light and fast, safe and strong, looks amazing and can carry a “boatload” of gear! We feel like the D-Pal is getting pretty close!
Initially this design grew from a need to have a solid and safe tender matched to our growing range of sailing Cats.
You want to take your boat to out of the way places so why not have a tender that can do the hard yards. These boats are not only yacht tenders……there are many general uses for these capable small boats.
The D-PAL’s will be built exclusively by Velaris Boats in Vietnam. There are two prototypes (3300 and the 3850 with Console) currently in build….and testing will continue through May/June 2025. Full production will commence from July 2025.
Quality gear will be fitted as standard including TrueKit QuickLok launching wheels. The 3300 will be available available as a tiller steer only with the fuel tote tank located in the bow seat locker. The 2 larger versions have the option of a centre console with front seat/fuel tank compartment.
As shown in the spec sheet there are 3 sizes available ie. the 3300, 3600 and the flagship 3900. We have also developed a Coaching Boat version of the 3900 which measures 3850mm x 1510mm. Also on the cards will be the “baby” of the range, at 3000mm.
