9.15m Superyacht Tender – Design #082
This design was commissioned in 2008 as a replacement tender for a superyacht undergoing an extensive refit. As such there were dimensional and mass constraints in terms of the location between decks where the tender was housed and the existing lifting capacity of the mothership.
Further this tender was required to do double duty as a diving excursion vessel.
We started with the hull of our successful 9.0 metre waterjet RHIB design (#038) but that’s where everything changed. The air draft of this design is a full 400mm less than that of the predecessor. Needless to say the constraints were a challenge but the end result met the brief perfectly adequately.
