10.5metre QRV RHIB – Design #112 C&D
Unlike many of our QRV RHIB designs destined for use by CGNZ this design was commissioned for an SAR role in the Middle East. There are 2 versions of this 10.5m RHIB design (open-back hardtop and walk-around centre console, hence the C & D designation) and as such formed part of a larger consignment of vessels built in NZ and currently operating in an SAR role in the UAE. The hulls of both versions are identical.
In many ways this design has “evolved” from the various QRV RHIB’s developed here in NZ. The first two examples of this design were built with a twin Inboard Diesel/ Waterjet configuration.
Overall we feel that this design has benefitted from all of the collective wisdom gained from the 12+ years of RHIB design. This is a great boat which is very capable in both configurations and suitable for multiple roles in addition to the current utilisation as a rescue vessel. Reconfigured this design would also make a perfect leisure boat or superyacht tender.
The renders also show how this design could work if reconfigured for double or triple outboards.
