Dan Schofield is becoming a bit of a legend by now! He is all over social media with his exploits in commissioning and building 2 versions of our 525 Cat design. Now his skills and charms have swayed Brian and Karin to build Delos 2.0 at Stradbroke Yachts in Brisbane.
Design #246 is the second 525 Cat variant commissioned by Dan and as such includes some styling tweaks designed to appeal. In total there are now 8 versions of the original 525 Cat design. All of these, including the SY 52 have retained the essential features that have proven to be so successful and which are in high demand ie. the rugged aluminium hull construction, skeg protected rudders and props, internal W/T subdivision, the internal helm/forward sailing cockpit and the aft deck “lounge” which is dedicated to relaxation.
We have included the following comparison table to help distinguish between the variants. There are of course subtle layout and styling variations referred to in the accompanying general arrangement drawings.
Our plan packages are carefully detailed and together with the comprehensive build kit information (assembly drawings and nested CNC cutting files) most skilled yacht-builders will have no trouble putting together your perfect cruising home.
